Species-oriented certification for veterinary practice

Advancing the quality of veterinary medicine through certification - ABVP

Symposium - 16th Annual ABVP Symposium

ABVP Symposium 2011 in St. Louis from April 28- May 1.

The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners convened at the 16th Annual ABVP Symposium, April 28-May 1, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency in St. Louis, Missouri.

This comprehensive scientific program provided veterinarians with cutting edge information by top speakers in the fields of Canine, Feline, Avian, Bovine, Equine, Exotic Companion Mammal and Reptile and Amphibian practice. This year we also welcome The Academy of Veterinary Technicians in Clinical Practice with a full track dedicated to technicians with speakers in Avian/Exotic, Canine/Feline and Production Animal.

Every course was designed not only to assist those seeking certification, but also to provide an excellent review for all practitioners and academicians. This symposium provided one of the best opportunities for professional growth, offering a challenging educational experience with limited time away from veterinarian practice.

Up to 22 hours of species-specific CE was provided Thursday through Sunday. Up to sixteen hours of species specific CE was provided from Friday through Sunday. An additional six hours of CE was obtained by attending the ABVP/AAHA Kick-Off Seminar.
