14th Annual ABVP Symposium

ABVP Symposium 2009 at Austin from April 16-19

Thank you for joining us at Austin, TX! See you in Denver, CO!

The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners met for the 14th Annual ABVP Symposium, April 16-19, 2009 at the downtown Omni Hotel in Austin, Texas. This comprehensive scientific program provided veterinarians with cutting edge information by top speakers in the fields of Canine, Feline, Avian, Bovine, Equine and Exotic Companion Mammal* (*new this year) practice. Every course was designed not only to assist those seeking certification, but also to provide an excellent review for all practitioners and academicians. This symposium provided one of the best opportunities for professional growth, offering a challenging educational experience with limited time away from veterinarian practice.

Up to 16 hours of species-specific CE was provided Thursday through Sunday. Five additional hours were obtained by attending the Sun Rise Lecture on Probiotics & Gastrointestinal health: What's new (1 hour) followed by the Cross Species session (4 hours).

Kevin FitzgeraldEntertainment - It was also with great pleasure that we announced Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald, PhD, DVM, DABVP-Canine and Feline, as our evening entertainment. Perhaps best known from his ten seasons on the popular Animal Planet TV show Emergency Vets, Kevin's passion for making people laugh surpassed only by his unwavering dedication to all creatures great and small.
