The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners is pleased to announce the launch of its Eighteenth Annual Student Case Report Contest. Due to the tremendous response to the contest in recent years, we have implemented several enhancements for 2008. Perhaps most important is the acquisition of Monsanto as our corporate sponsor. Monsanto is a generous and enthusiastic supporter of the student case report competition and we expect this partnership to produce the best year ever for the contest.
Another significant change this year is that there will actually be two competitions running concurrently. Winners will be announced in both a ruminant category and a non-ruminant category. Students are eligible to submit case reports in one or both contests. Finally, cash awards have been significantly increased over last year. The winner in each category will receive a check for $800. A $400 award will go to the second place winners and two honorable mention entrants will receive $200.
All veterinary students are encouraged to enter. Cases from any area of veterinary medicine will be accepted. Case reports will be evaluated on the same criteria as those required by the ABVP for board certification. Please read the Contest Rules for further details.
Entries must be postmarked by June 15, 2008 and mailed to:
