Dr. Link Welborn is AAHA 2002-03 President-Elect

Link V. Welborn, DVM, of Tampa, FL, was named president-elect of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) on March 27, at the association's 69th annual meeting in Boston.

A 1982 graduate of the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Welborn is the hospital director and owner of three Tampa veterinary hospitals. He is board certified in canine and feline practice with the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.

Dr. Welborn has served AAHA in numerous capacities since 1992. He is a past member representative, regional coordinator, secretary and vice president. Dr. Welborn currently chairs the AAHA Accreditation Program Task Force, Standards Enhancement Task Force and Leadership Identification Committee.

In addition to his service to AAHA, Dr. Welborn is active within several other veterinary organizations. He serves on committees of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association and is a, member of the Alumni Council of the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine.
